CULTIVATING COLOR SINCE 2015

Marigold Fibers began in 2015 in the quaint suburbs of Maryland. As a full time employee, with a full time addiction to knitting and yarn, the idea of dyeing yarn seemed like a project worth fitting into the schedule. The art and science of dyeing yarn combines the beauty of never ending color with one’s meticulous obsessive tendencies. Here, at the junction of unabashed freedom and disciplined procedure, cultivated color is born.

About the dyer

Born and raised in California, Kimi (a.k.a. Craftykimiknits) was introduced to the joys of knitting at a young age. With a growing interest in all things crafty, dyeing yarn was a natural development. Kimi also enjoys sewing, pottery, photography, watercolor painting, cooking, baking, and reading. Not to be underestimated, expect the list to continue to grow as she, er, also continues to grow.
